How to cook the perfect steak 2cm thick

So many customers ask us how long they should cook their steak, so here is our tips...

How to cook the perfect steak roughly 2cm thick!

Step One: Always bring steak to room temperature

Step Two: Preheat the pan or BBQ to hot

Step three: drizzle pan with a little oil and sear your steak.

Step four: throw in a substantial amount of butter or Ghee and season

Step Five: Baste your steak front and back


Rare: 

2 minutes each side, rest for 2 minutes


Medium rare: 

2-3 minutes each side, rest for 4 minutes


Medium: 

3 minutes each side, rest for 4 minutes


Medium well done: 

3-4 minutes each side, rest for 5 minutes


Well done: 

5-6 minutes each side, rest for 6 minutes
